Best Shopping Centers in Los Angeles
LA is known for having some of the best shopping centers in the world to visit! Old Town Pasadena, The Grove, and The Americana At Brand are just some of the best retail heavens scattered throughout the LA landscape.
The Grove is a 575,000-square-foot outdoor shopping complex with a marketplace that is located in Los Angeles‘ Fairfax District. The architecture designed by David Williams of Caruso Affiliated Holdings and by KMD Architects was influenced by LA’s original historic districts. With a stylized false front of Art Deco styled buildings, a massive central park where the well-known vibrant fountain resides playing music and fountain shows every hour! The old fashioned trolley car can take you from The Grove shops to the Farmers Market, it’s the perfect ride for families to enjoy. There are often live shows performed at The Grove right next to some of the biggest retail stores including Nordstrom, Topshop, Barnes & Nobles, MAC Cosmetics , Apple, Zara, Gap, Nike and Crate & Barrel, just to name a few. As well, there are a ton of our favorite chain restaurants including the likes of The Cheesecake Factory and Maggiano’s Little Italy. For some local non-chain delights, the Original Farmers Market offers the best delights from foods all over the globe! The Grove also has Pacific Theatre’s 14 screened movie theatre complex so you really can do it all here in one afternoon!
During the holidays, artificial snow comes down to add to the ambiance of the shopping complex making you feel like it is winter in LA! There is as well a 100 foot Christmas tree that goes up in November! Come by the Grove to check out one of the greatest places to enjoy a relaxing weekend in Los Angeles!
Keep an eye out, many celebrities are seen shopping here!
Centrally located in Glendale across from the Glendale Galleria is The Americana at Brand, one of the biggest luxury living retail centers in the world that pulls in some of the highest-grossing shops. This American desired shopping spot, offers an upscale classy ambiance with stylish sophistication with 82 retail shops. It is designed by the same architect as The Grove so there are a lot of similar features including the fountain show.
However, while The Grove is designed like something out of the 1940’s in the south, The Americana at Brand has more of an industrial vibe with exposed steel beams in buildings and the main clock. This outdoor shopping mall also offers properties above of the retail spaces. This residential development includes 242 apartments and 100 condos giving the residents an ideal living situation where they can leave their home and walk through a chic atmosphere with tons of places to enjoy.
